Basic network, low send level, table push button telephone with MF keypad. Introduced in September 1977, with the Telephone No. 782R and Telephone No. 782RR introduced in February 1979. The Telephone No. 782 can accept two additional press buttons, whilst those with recall buttons can only accept one additional press button. The R variant was fitted with an Earth Recall button. The Telephone No. 8786RR was fitted with a Timed Break Recall button (Register Recall). The telephone is fitted with a Kit-CP100, which is a small circuit board and whose use and circuit diagrams are covered in Specification S1376. A Telephone No. 8782RX was also made and this was for instances where a constant tone level was required, independent of line current. This phone was also fitted with an Earth Recall Button and converted for the UK plug and socket system. Telephone No. 8782 The Telephone No. 8782 was also produced in R, RR and RX variants.
