TESTER No. 231A


A meter that is part of Pair Identification Equipment No. 2.  The kit comprises of two portable meter units (15 pair capacity) for identification of spare cable pairs from subscriber's premises on Housing Estates and Testing New Block Terminal's.

This is a meter capable of measuring resistance values in the range 9.1kohms to 300kohm, short circuit and open circuit.

This tester requires batteries to operate.  Batteries can be LR6, 6LR61 or 6LF22.

A Kit No. 276A is to be requisitioned separately.  This Kit is a set of fifteen different Resistor Identity Units. Used with Tester, No. 231A.

The cords are Cord, Test No. 1/1500A.

First use was circa 1975.
