TRANSMITTER No. 24


This Transmitter was introduced in World War 2, to be used by Civil Defense and Switchboard operators during a gas attack.  The Transmitter No. 24 plugs into the side of a gas mask, that has a hole on the left hand side and is shown in the picture below.

The Transmitter plug is also voice tube into a compartment that houses a Transmitter-Inset No. 10B.

The Transmitter and Headset are wired to a connector plug, which in the case below is a Plug No. 404.
