This instruction deals with the physical description, field of use, title and
identification of the telephone.
DESCRIPTION
The Classic is a reproduction of an antique type telephone with standard modern internal components and rotary dial. The telephone body is made of wood and it is available in Black or
White. It has an internal bell which cannot be adjusted by the user and a shared service button located on the left side of the main body. All telephones are supplied with a three metre line cord terminated on a Plug
No. 505. Alternative cords cannot be provided. This telephone has a standard telephone number label.
DIMENSIONS
Height 300mm, Width 180mm, Depth 125mm, Handset Weight 400gm and Total Weight 2.9kg.
FIELD OF USE
Type A: Exclusive and shared exchange lines, PBXs Without recall facility and main stations and extensions of Plans 1A and
4 including Plan 4 off 1A.
IDENTIFICATION AND TITLE
The marketing title is Classic by STC and will be in all advertising and publicity material for the telephone and in contacts the general public. The
PO engineering title is Telephone SR No. 1000A. Ownership can be confirmed against the appearance of this number, the
date of manufacture and the words 'Post Office property' which are marked on the
base.
