Known
as the Candlestick, this telephone was imported from America by STC and had no internal bell. Introduced in 1979 it was
available in dial form only. The body is made of plastic, with brass
finish on some parts. This phone has no ringer so a bellset was provided.
Colours: White, Black and Red.
Country of Origin - USA.

also fitted with a high impedance ringer and called the

This instruction deals with the physical description, field of use, title and identification of the
Telephone No. SR1005B.
DESCRIPTION
This telephone is a reproduction of a style in use some years ago. The main components are housed in the round base, with the microphone at the top of the stern and the receiver in the separate earpiece. The outer casing is plastic and the dial is the standard type.
The telephone cannot be used on shared exchange lines, and it does not have an internal calling device: one separate bell may be provided free of charge if required. Colours available are Red, White and Black. Each telephone is supplied fitted with a
five way line cord, three metres long when fully extended, terminated with a Plug
No. 505. Alternative cords cannot be provided. This telephone has a standard telephone number label.

The marketing title is Candlestick By STC and will be used in all advertising and publicity material for the telephone and in contacts with the general public. The
PO engineering title is Telephone SR No. 1005B. Post Office ownership can be confirmed against the appearance of this number, the year of manufacture, and the words 'Post Office
Property' which are marked on the base.

Wiring for a TSR No. 1005 when wired for PST (new style cord):-
T1 = Black wire from Transmitter and Pink wire from dial.
T2 = Red wire from Transmitter and Brown wire from dial.
T3 = White of Line cord and Yellow wire from switchooks.
T4 = Black wire from Switchooks.
T5 = Nothing connected.
T6 = Blue wire from Line cord and Green wire from Switchooks.
T7 = White wire from Earpiece, Brown wire from Switchooks and Grey wire from
dial..
T8 = White wire from Earpiece and Blue wire from dial.
T9 = Red wire from Line cord and Orange wire from dial.
T10 = Green wire form Line cord
