TSR 8012A - Tan Leather TSR 8012C - Beige

Known as Rhapsody, by British Telecom, this was the high impedance, LD and PST plug ended version of the TSR No. 1012.  Follow the link to the TSR No. 1012 for more information.

Made by Atea of Belgium and marketed in the UK by Ferranti GTE.

Colours - Beige, Ivory and Tan Leather (with the 8012C additionally in Blue).

Telephone SR No. 8012A - Pulse dial with mute switch.
Telephone SR No. 8012C - Pulse dial with mute switch and recall.
Telephone SR No. 8012G - Tone dial (MF) with mute switch and earth/time break recall.

Conversion to Time Break Recall

  1. With a flat screwdriver remove the fixing screw on the top of the phone, next the hook switch.
  2. Lift out the keypad to expose the circuit board below.
  3. Move the yellow lead from the E terminal on the hook switch board, to the R terminal on the board under the keypad, as shown in the diagram to the right.
  4. Replace the keypad, then the top casing and finally replace the screw.
