Frames and Covers, Carriageway No. 1
Double triangular type for use on manholes, with each
carriageway entrance. Two covers are required.  Called the "Silent Knight".

Fitted with Covers, Carriageway No. 1.

Double Triangular Type 610
mm x 610mm clear opening each for use on carriageway joint boxes.  Heavy duty design for use where traffic loading conditions are severe.  Cover made of Spheroidal Graphitic Iron and marked HD.  Two covers are required.

Frame, Carriageway No. 1A was made obsolete in 1984.

Covers, Carriageway No. 1C
These can be marked "Telecom" from 1986 and "BT" from 1988 (have straight dashed marks on cover).

Introduced around 1986 and is of a slightly different design to the earlier No. 1.

Fitted with Covers, Carriageway No. 1D.
