 In the very late 1940s, the Rootes Group gave their commercial vehicle range a brand new, up to date all steel cab complete with a 6 cylinder petrol engine mounted under the cab floor as denoted by this Commer QX 6 ton truck.  Soon this model was to feature the famous Commer 2 stroke diesel engine, though this particular lorry would still be petrol powered.
