This was a heavier version of the Sherpa 255 and was used as a 1-tonne
Utility, again using the demountable body concept. BT leased 20
Freight Rover 350 1-tonne chassis cabs in 1983, 339 Sherpa K4's in 1984, 430
K4's in 1985 and 525 K4's in 1986.
This model replaced the Ford Transit 1 tonne as the preferred 1 tonne
utility in 1984 (taken from aroneline.co.uk).

Vehicle description
The body has ample stowage space for tools and equipment and has fully fitted
shelves, bin racks and a single burner gas ring. The interior layout can be
easily changed around to suit individual requirements.
The vehicle cab is supplied with supplementary heating as
standard.
The vehicle has twin rear wheels, five speed gearbox and a 4 cylinder, 2 litre
engine operating on 2 star fuel. With a fuel tank capacity of 15 gallons
and an average mpg figure of approximately 16, the range of the vehicle would be
in order of 240 miles.
Utilisation
For use mainly by works and maintenance jointer duties, but will also be found
suitable for two man overhead parties where necessary.
