General description and facilities
This vehicle, which supersedes Types 1 and 2, is a commercial forward
control van with both rear and near-side access to the vehicle body.
It is equipped internally with aluminium racking and has an aluminium roof
rack suitable for carrying a ladder with a maximum unextended length of 14
ft. In addition, a Ladder, Extension, 4A or 5 can be carried on top of
the interior off-side racking. A third seat is provided in the vehicle
cab for use by a trainee or occasional passenger only. The vehicle is
intended for use by one or two man parties who require to carry between 5
cwt. and 15 cwt. of tools and stores. The towing capacity is
sufficient for towing a trailer tool cart or a Trailer, Cable Drum, No. 2.
On no account may these vehicles be used for parties whose regular size
exceeds two men.
