Vehicle description
This vehicle is based on the Dodge 50 series chassis cab. The cab is spacious, well laid out and provides accommodation for the driver and two passengers. The large body is constructed from GRP panels and aluminium. It provides adequate working space and is fully equipped with side and rear door access, welfare, gas lockers, bench and racking.

Front opening flap and rear bolster bars allow for the carriage of telegraph poles or long ladders. Natural light is available through the translucent roof panels and side windows, with additional lighting being provided by strip lamps. A trailer towing attachment is fitted as standard.

The vehicle is fitted with a 4 cylinder 3.8 litre Perkins diesel engine. Fuel tank capacity is 25 gallons, and with an approximate mpg figure of 16 the range of vehicle would be in the order of 400 miles.

Utilisation
Used mainly by 3 men gangs for providing and maintaining overhead and underground external plant.
