Vehicle Description
The cab provides seating for the driver and up to two passengers. The body,
which is constructed from GRP panels, has a fully equipped welfare area to
provide the crew with all the necessary domestic services.
In addition to adequate storage space for stores, tools
and equipment the vehicle is equipped with:-
a. A self-reeling capstan winch, line pull (max) 9.34kn (2100lbf) rope speed
(max) 0.6m/s (120ft/min).
b. A powered rodding system with 250m of plastic rod, thrust 4.5kn (1000lbf)
rod speed (max) 0.6m/s (120ft/min).
c. A 'ductmotor' rodding system for lengths up to 600m.
d. A pneumatically powered road breaker.
e. A pneumatically powered submersible water pump.
The vehicle is equipped with a 6 cylinder 6.354 litre
diesel engine and fuel tank capacity of 27 gallons.
