This machine was purchased at the request of a Radio Station, because in certain instances it is more suitable than a Land Rover. It is not, however, as versatile as a Snowtrac.

The Argocat is superior to a Land Rover in negotiating stream crossings and deep mud; it has the advantage of being amphibious, and can be converted to use snow tracks within 15 minutes. The machine can carry the driver and five passengers.

The Argocat is approximately 75% of the cost of a Land Rover and 50% of the cost of a Snowtrac. It is powered by a 2 cylinder diesel engine.
