Haulage of vehicle trailers.
Thirty vehicles were purchased from the Ministry of Supply,
reconditioned and entered into service with the road haulage fleet of
the Motor Transport Branch. This was the first of the batch. |

The prototype
AEC conversion from military vehicle to tractor unit was carried out on
this chassis. The major difference from the main batch was the retention of the
original cab, which left a large and ungainly gap under the front wheel arches.
