ATM TELEPHONE L.11566

STROWGER TABLE AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE

L.11566

Bakelite table table telephone for use on automatic exchanges.  Similar to the GPO Telephone No. 332 Mark 1.

These normally have a model number printed on the base, but may also be labelled as an ATE telephone.

These generally have no drawer, with a blank plate fitted instead.

Some of these telephones may be stamped 'Special' on the base.  This means that they have a stainless steel dial instead of the normal ATM Dial No. 24C with black finger plate.

The L11566A1 has an ATM Dial No. 24C with a chrome finger plate.
The L11566A2 has a GPO Dial No. 12 with a black painted finger plate.

These can also be found with AEP markings - click here for more information

Diagram for the telephone L.11566A1 is L530301.
