BELL No. 61A & 61B


This is an Iron cased, mains operated bell with a single 6" gong.  The operating mechanism was a single coil.

Bell No. 61A - 200/250v A.C. 50c/s. (7000 turns of 38 SWG wire with a resistance of 630 to 660ohms).
Bell No. 61B - 200/250v D.C. (10,500 turns of 42 SWG wire with a resistance of 2360ohms).

The bell gong is "Parkerised" and lacquered.

Made by Gents of Gloucester under their marketing name of Tangent.

12" high by 5½" across.

Introduced circa 1949.

Coloured Grey (BSS 381C, Colour 631).

The Bell No. 62 is similar but with a 10" bell.
