Telephone No. 2054

Wall-Mounted Safety Telephone Set
(with magnetic call and local battery)
for telephone lines located near power lines with a voltage of up to 500 volts
No. 22054

This wall-mounted safety telephone set is used when telephone lines are located near power lines with a voltage not exceeding 500 volts.

For higher voltages the wall-mounted telephone set No. 73236 is recommended.

To ensure that the person speaking on the telephone cannot come into contact with the transmission components, all conductive metal parts, the connecting terminals, and the transmitter are located inside the set or are specially insulated.

The transmitter's electrostatic socket is screwed into the opening in the woodwork opposite the transmitter's diaphragm.

The receiver cord is covered with a rubber sheath.

The protection system must be completed by a No. 74 protector, enclosed in a metal housing, comprising two 12-amp fuse breakers. This protector has copper blocks with double circuits and a transducer, used to electrically separate the telephone lines.
The telephone lines are connected to the transducer. The external lines are connected to the protector's terminals.

This protector is placed at the junction point of the internal lines with the telephone lines.
