This is a desk top telephone that has all its mechanical components enclosed in a metal casing that protects them from dust and damage.  Known in the UK as a Corporation set.

2264A - Parallel connection with 1000ohm bell ringer.
2264B - Series connection with 120ohm bell ringer.

These telephones were also sold in different combinations.  These are called the Model No. 22264.

A Portable Microtelephone Set for Parallel Connection comprising one Telephone No. 2264A.

Includes a magneto generator with 4 magnets No. 2039A, polarised ringer No. 2018B (resistance 1000ohms), induction coil No. 2221A, sliding switch No. 2033A, microtelephone no. 2258 A with green silk cord containing 4 conductors No. 2062D, a green silk cord containing 6 conductors No. 2055 and connecting rosette No. 2007.

The Telephone is constructed as the No. 22264A but for Series connection.
