GPO TELEPRINTER No. 1A

The Teleprinter No. 1A, which was obsolescent by 1933 had a printing and receiving system that resembled the Baudot printing unit which prints on tape.

The operating speed of this Teleprinter was about 40 words per minute.

The Teleprinter No. 1A was manufactured by the Morkrum Teletype Corporation of America, who also made the Teleprinter No. 2A.
