330.jpg (21893 bytes)This instrument is of the large size and is fitted with hand micro-telephone No. 530 with cord No. 2061, five-magnet Generator No. 478 which will ring the 1000 ohm bell of the instrument satisfactorily when shunted by 50 ohms, a short-circuiting key, paper clip, but no writing tablet, and a battery box to accommodate two cells No. 586 or 971.

This instrument is constructed to ring one or more instruments on either of the two lines connected to it (depending on the position of the switch). It is fitted with a high resistance bell, which is in shunt on the line, and also with a strong generator, which produces a large amount of current in order to ring simultaneously a number of bells on the same line.

The instrument is intended for two metallic circuits, but it can also be used for two single lines if the centre terminal is connected to the two adjoining terminals.

The instrument can also be used for one metallic circuit and one single line.
