This instrument is constructed to ring one or more instruments on either of the two lines connected to it (depending on the position of the switch). It is fitted with a high resistance bell, which is in shunt on the line, and also with a strong generator, which produces a large amount of current in order to ring simultaneously a number of bells on the same line. The instrument is intended for two metallic circuits, but it can also be used for two single lines if the centre terminal is connected to the two adjoining terminals. The instrument can also be used for one metallic circuit and one single line. Weight 21.20 lbs. Price £5 5s.
