tropics, the employment of all wood has been carefully, avoided, as it very soon gets
destroyed by ants and other insects.
The instrument is fitted with hand micro-telephone No. 532 and cord No. 2050, three-magnet generator which will ring satisfactory through the 300 ohm bell of the instrument and a line resistance of 20,000 ohms; also with a writing tablet.
