The KTV was a Swedish company that manufactured telephones for the Royal Telegraph Agency (KTV). KTV was associated with the following telephone companies: Royal Telegrafverket (1853), Telegrafverket (1946), Televerket (1953) and 1995 Telia (1995). Telia is primarily a telecom operator. The KTV telephones are generally marked on a small aluminium plate attached to the telephones base plate. A typical plate for example my read: BC 310 KTV 1932, which means the phone was manufactured by the Royal Telegraph Agency (KTV) in 1932 and the model designation is BC 310 within KTV. KTV is mentioned here because their telephones were either purchased from L. M. Ericson or produced in the KTV factory looking remarkably like Ericsson models. To date it has been difficult to discover if the telephones were designed by KTV or just produced under a licence from L. M. Ericsson. The telephones in question are mainly models BC 300 to BC 700. Some have been found to have Ericsson and KTV model numbers on the base and Ericsson also produced a number of diagrams with the KTV models mentioned on them. Whilst the telephones look like Ericsson types there are slight differences, but these may just be adjustments made by the KTV for reasons only known to them. To this end the BC 300 to BC 700 range are included in the Ericsson list.
