Bakelite telephone with 3 press buttons. Used with extension switching facilities.

N22528 is fitted with an AC bell.
N22529 is fitted with a DC trembler bell and an indicator in the base.

The telephone is similar to a GPO 300 type, but the body is fixed to a plinth, made of wood, that has a toggle type switch or indicator fitted in the front below the dummy tray.

The words Plan 6 has been seen on the base of the N22589.
