The casework of this instrument is of polished hardwood and incorporates a handy writing desk and a battery compartment measuring 7.25 x 6.5 x 3.25 inches which will accommodate 2 dry or inert cells.

The equipment comprises a compact "alnico" magnet generator, 1000 ohm ringer, 2uf capacitor, induction coil, Bakelite micro-telephone and enclosed terminals.  Terminals are also fitted for the dial connections.

This is a Magneto telephone that can be converted to Automatic working.

The conversion is achieved by removing the Coil, Induction N3523, generator and batteries and installing a Dial No. 24C and Coil, Induction N3519.

There was a dummy dial fitted to the front door to facilitate a dial, when required (not shown in picture).

Diagram N69728 shows the telephone wired as a magneto and an automatic phone. 

The diagram is dated 1946.
