CASEWORK
Cast-iron, enamelled black, with wide machined flanges on cover and case suitably packed
to render the instrument watertight.
RECEIVER
Special loud-speaking type fitted within the case and having flexible metallic listening
tube.
TRANSMITTER
Capsule pattern, protected by moisture proof shield and metal grid.
INDUCTION COIL
The induction coil is fixed to an ebonite base, the screws fixing same forming the
connection terminals so that no loose wires are used.
SWITCH
The switch key is of substantial dimensions, is very positive in action and arranged for
normal, "ringing" and "speaking" positions.
BATTERY
The instrument is designed for use with external speaking and ringing batteries.
GENERAL
All terminals are mounted on ebonite and are enclosed. All coils are specially treated to
protect them against the action of moisture, and all connections are made with heavily
insulated wire.
