LOCKS No. 31

Used in all Boxes Coin Collecting until the late early 1950's.  Superseded by the Lock No. 39 which was more secure lock and had numerous key combinations.

Initially used on the BCC No. 13.

Fitted to the engineers compartment cover and only had one key combination.

Used a Key, Lock J (Drawing - CD761).

Usually found on recovered Southern Irish Coin Boxes.

These keys can be cut but they are thinner than the standard locker key.  Evidently called Carpenters Lock keys.

Drawing - 63325.
