When the GPO took over the NTC they inherited all their equipment. The NT telephones were renamed as "Instruments, Subscriber, Wall/Table, N.T. No. X. Many of these were made obsolescent relatively quickly but some were subsumed into the equivalent GPO telephone type. In 1907 the NTC telephone line charges in
