This is a Bakelite, Automatic, table telephone, effectively a BPO Telephone No. 162 or Telephone No. 232.

Designed and initially manufactured by Siemens Brothers in the UK.

These telephone havw no capacitor, bell gongs or ringer and therefore require a Bellset for it to function.  The Bellset is a model HB60.

The picture shows a Telephone fixed to a Bellset, but normally the Bellset would have been fixed to a wall.
