OSCILLATOR No. 59

The Oscillator No. 59A is a 1kc/s Valve Oscillator.  It is portable and battery driven an d has been designed for use with Amplifier No. 100A for Cable pair identification.

The oscillator is housed in a metal case and is normally carried in a "Satchel No. 3".  The oscillator is operated from 1.5v filament and 30 V. H. T. supplies.  Battery Dry No. 20 and Battery Dry No. 22 respectively are used f or the fi lament and H.T. supplies.

Output frequency: 1 Kc/s continuous, or interrupted 2-20 p.p.s. at  15mW.

Used for cable and cable pair identification.

Uses two Valve, Electronic CV2259.

1 x Battery, Dry No. 20.
1 x Battery, Dry No. 22.
1 x Cord, Test No. 2/72AT.
1 x Plug No. 420 with Cord, Instrument 2/138AB 54".

1 x Satchel No. 3A.

This Oscillator superseded the Oscillator No. 57A.
