TELEPHONE No. 783 & 8783


The Telephone No. 783 was an MF, push button, wall telephone for use on basic networks, requiring a constant tone level output independent of line current.

The telephone was introduced in 1977 and is based on the Telephone No. 746 chassis.

Produced in Grey and Ivory colours only.

It has provision for two additional press button switches.

The Telephone No. 8786RR was fitted with a Timed Break Recall button (Register Recall).  The telephone is fitted with a Kit-CP100, which is a small circuit board and whose use and circuit diagrams are covered in Specification S1376.

Introduced in 1982 the Telephone No. 8783 was introduced and fitted with a Bell No. 59D-1 (high impedance bell coils 4000 ohms) and a Cord Connection No. 4/502 250mm.
