SALES PROCEDURES
The procedures in TI B3 N0001 apply to this telephone. For statistical purposes it should be included in form A4323 (SRT) on line ten. Like other SRT it should be included in the Appointment Plan (code APC) subject to local resources and inclusion of an appropriate time allowance for preparation of telephone number labels and stores procedures.

INSTALLATION
The DAWN is connected via a captive plug and socket (Jack 96A). Installation methods are described in diagrams in the N49xx series.

STORES
These telephones may now be requisitioned. Nomenclature is shown above and stores procedures are given in THQ Circular S1 G8010.

TELEPHONE NUMBER LABEL
(1) The DAWN requires a circular telephone number label which is smaller than the standard dial Centre label. Special labels, printed on individual white cards measuring 105 mm x 148 mm and perforated for easy removal, will be used. Initial supplies of label cards have been sent to PE Reprographic Unit, Harrogate (PE/RS/U2.3), and Area Drawing Offices. Additional supplies may be obtained from SRT Management Group, THQ/ME/RCS. The procedures given in TI C3 B1060 should be used to obtain prepared labels. Instructions for inserting labels follow.

(2) INSERTING LABEL. DAWN telephones are normally received with the dial finger plate detached. When it is necessary to first remove the finger plate the procedures following must be adhered to:-

Turn the dial in a clockwise direction to its full extent. Hold the dial in this position and insert a suitable round implement (e.g. the end of an open paperclip) into the small hole in the finger plate which is now alongside the finger stop. Press down firmly on the implement and at the same time pull the finger plate further in a clockwise direction until the catch on the underside of the finger plate is released. Allow the dial to return to rest. When it stops the finger plate can be lifted from the dial.

Insert the telephone number label, making sure that the notch in the label is aligned with the projection on the side of the label recess. Refit the finger plate by placing it on the dial with the zero hole over the figure nine. Press down firmly on the finger plate and at the same time turn it in an anti-clockwise direction. The plate will lock into place with an audible click.

MAINTENANCE
The DAWN telephone should be maintained in accordance with TI E5 B2001. It is class two for maintenance purposes with no replaceable parts and faulty telephones should be replaced.
