New style Plug and Socket version of TSR No. 1016.  The phone also had a high impedance tone caller.

Another ill-fated attempt to give the Trimphone another lease of life came when some bright spark had the idea of cladding the telephones in leather. The cases discoloured rapidly from finger grease and other contaminations but this did not deter the Post Office from including these unfortunate instruments in their Special Range in 1980 under the Deltaphone name.
