Boxes, Coin Collecting No. 17 is similar to Boxes, Coin Collecting No. 14 except the mechanism has a plug ended flexible cable instead of the normal fixed plug and socket. A Bellset No. 42 is associated with this box and has a socket mounted to the lower right of the Bellset plate. Field trailed circa 1949 but not thought to be generally used.
