BELL, MAGNETO 100ohms

A wooden wall mounted bell, which was used as an extension bell or when a telephone had no internal ringer.

The GPO serial number is normally stamped on the rear and also marked on the front on an oval brass plate.  This practice was later stopped when the GPO found it impracticable to document all the serial numbers.

The lid is locked by means of a key.

Bell resistance is 100ohms.

Superseded by the Bell No. 1.
