KTV TELEPHONE BC 330 | ||||||
| TELEPHONE - TABLE For Automatic telephone systems BC 330 This style of telephone set was developed in 1931 in co-operation between L. M. Ericsson and the Norwegian company Elektrisk Bureau. The exterior design was created by the artist Jean Heiberg. Not only did the device have a new design, but the technology was also largely newly constructed. The aim was to minimise the number of components and make them easily interchangeable. In 1933, the model became the standard telephone in the Swedish telecoms network with the designation m33 and also the standard telephone in several other countries' telecoms administrations. The new telephone also offered major advantages in terms of production technology: the change of material from sheet metal to Bakelite and the new design reduced the manufacturing time of the casing from about seven days to seven minutes. The model was produced in a size reduced version from 1933 and from 1947 with softer lines, when the metal finger disc was also made of plastic. The standard colour was black, but it was also produced in dark brown, red, green, white in urea-formaldehyde and melamine thermoplastics and transparent in acrylic. The L. M. Ericsson model was the DBH 11X03. The Model BC 320 was similar to the BC 330 but without the dial. Made by KTV.
