This telephone is equipped with two push-buttons, coloured white and black and is used as  the main telephone with an extension connected.  The white push-button connects the intermediate station to the main line and the black push-button connects it to the extension.  When the microphone is switched on, the intermediate station is connected through to the extension.  The hand generator gives the ringing signal to the extension.  The indicator shows "white" when the handset is lifted if the main line is occupied by the extension.

The BC 462 telephone is used as the extension.
