TELEPHONE - TABLE
For Automatic telephone systemsBC 563
The BC 563 main unit is equipped with one white and two red push-buttons.
The white push-button connects the main unit to the main line and the red
push-buttons connect the selected extension line to the main line. There are
two lever switches in the screwed base, the left one connecting the main
unit to one of the extension units and the right one connecting the two
extension units to each other. In the latter case, the appliances are
powered from a local battery or a battery eliminator. A generator with a
crank gives a ringing signal to the selected extension. The indictor shows
"white" when the microphone is lifted if any of the extensions has a call on
the main line. If there is an incoming signal on the main line, or a signal
from any of the extensions when one of the red buttons is pressed, the unit
bell rings. If none of the red buttons is pressed when a ringing signal is
sent from an extension, one of the two auxiliary bells rings.
Incoming exchange calls ring the covered bell mounted on
the wall, whilst internal calls ring a wall mounted exposed bell.
When lines are 250m to 2000m then the
BC 561 would be used.
BC 562 telephones are used as
extensions.
