TELEPHONE - TABLE
For Automatic telephone systemsBC 564
This is a Telephone set BC 564 m50 which does not have its own bell and is
used as a side set when one or two additional telephone sets are connected
to a main set within earshot of the ringing signals to the main set.
The extension is connected to the exchange line before the main telephone
and disconnects from the main telephone when the handset is lifted.
Calls between the extension and the main telephone are not possible.
With the introduction of melamine plastic, which was used for a few years
in the 1940s and 50s, telephones could also be made in lighter colours.
