Two BC 568 telephones sets are used in pairs, each connected to its own main line and interconnected by a two-wire line.  This is a table telephone model m50 made of black Bakelite with white and red push button, indicator, generator, lever switch in the screwed-on Bakelite base, wall mounted bell and textile-covered telephone cord connected to a wall terminal bellset.
