Early Plug and Socket information
LJU's have now been superseded by BT and are called Voice Line Jacks
(VJU). These replicate the LJU range but are modular and have
component parts.
The Master Socket in customer premises is now called an NTE5.
Customer can legally wire to this socket and it also acts as a demarcation
point.
