SIEMENS BROTHERS No. 82


Bakelite table telephone with a GPO Dial No. 8.  This telephone is more or less a GPO Telephone No. 162.

This picture is of a 1929 Telephone No. 82, held by the Science Museum in London.  It has a Dial Switch No. 5 and the Transmitter cover is fixed by exposed screws.

 

This pictures below show a telephone that was sold on Ebay and is marked as a GPO Telephone No. 162 but inside the paster diagram shows the diagram as Siemens Brothers No. 82.

This phones is fitted with an early Dial No. 10 (with small dial centre label).  It also has a cast iron base which is marked GPO & 162 and is dated 1929.
